Bliss
Extreme or perfect happiness.
The word bliss often collocates with the adjectives domestic and marital, married, or wedded.
- We’re celebrating 25 years of marital bliss.

It is also frequently used with the phrase – somebody’s idea of bliss – and with the adjective sheer, meaning ‘complete’.
- My idea of bliss is a hot day on a beautiful beach and a cooler full of ice-cold beer.
- Sinking into a hot tub after a hard day’s work is sheer bliss.
Ignorance is bliss
A common saying which means that sometimes it is better not to know something, because then you cannot worry about it.
- Some company owners believe that ignorance is bliss and don’t tell their employees when business is bad.
